Gina Sabrina is a 22 year old Lithuanian amateur singer-songwriter. Her biggest dream is to write a song for or participate in Eurovision, and she is definitely trying her best to achieve the former by constantly writing new songs for national finals and internal selections around the world. In fact, “Hold You Close” is a failed attempt to reach out to one of those due to the fact that Gina thought that it is simply not a strong enough song to make it big in there, so she entered it to HCSC instead.
She wrote “Hold You Close” last year. The song is about a man missing a woman in his life and it is not clear whether she died, they broke up, or something else. He reminisces the good times they had together and how lonely it makes him feel like without her here with him. Her leaving left a metaphorical hole in his chest.
